Christmas Comes Early – New iPhone5
After many years with my trusty Blackberry, it is now time to say goodbye and HELLO iPhone 5. On Friday I officially retired my Blackberry and entered the world of Apple. Here are my top favorite things about my new iPhone 5:
Large Screen – Coming from a Blackberry the new screen on the iPhone 5 is huge, which is great when typing out emails and/or text messages. Also is great for viewing apps like Facebook or surfing the web on the phone.
Light Weight – Even though this new iPhone is larger than previous models and much larger than my Blackberry, it is surprisingly very light weight.
New Improved Siri – Siri is one of the things I was most looking forward to about switching to an iPhone. The new and improved Siri now provides sports scores, movie times and also restaurant ratings courtesy of Yelp. These are very useful updates that I will definitely be taking advantage of.
New Map App – So, the new map app is not something exclusive to iPhone 5 (can upgrade to IO6 software with previous models) but is definitely one of my favorite things about having an iPhone. The new map app provides turn by turn navigation as well as amazing 3-D renditions of cities and buildings (make sure to check out the 3-D building renditions of New York!
Camera – Now I previously already had a camera on my Blackberry but the iPhone camera is soo much better. The picture quality is really good and it is nice to be able to view pictures on the new larger screen format.
Final Verdict – I am extremely happy with my decision to switch to the new iPhone 5. I look forward to continue to explore and discover my favorite apps.
