Even though we are still enjoying summer, my thoughts are already turning to this year’s Project Playhouse, which will be here before you know it.  Get ready for another magical display when the Playhouse Village opens for viewing September 1^st at its new venue, beautiful South Coast Plaza, where this month-long event will run in conjunction with The Festival of Children, which showcases dozens of children’s charities, free family activities and much more. 

For two decades, Project Playhouse has been a cherished Orange County tradition and the signature fundraiser for HomeAid OC, an organization that is near and dear to my heart.  I feel so privileged to work with such an amazing group of professionals and volunteers who are committed to providing housing for Orange County’s thousands of homeless men, women and children.  This year’s campaign theme is Doorways for Hope, three words with a powerful message to inspire people to generate change so the homeless can transition from benches to beds and from shelters to self-sufficiency.  The culmination of Project Playhouse’s September celebration will be the Gala on Friday, October 5^th at the Balboa Bay Club, an evening of dining, dancing, live auction and entertainment.  It’s never too early to save the date, so mark your calendar for this spectacular evening.  Keep in mind that space is limited and now is a great time to conveniently reserve your tickets online at projectplayhouse.org.  HomeAid is changing the face of homelessness in Orange County — get inspired and let’s change the world together.
